Friday The winter rains have arrived just in time for Henry to explore a new hobby, brewing Root Beer!
The first batch was pretty horrible and left the house gurgling down the drain. His second batch was not really what I would call Root Beer but by any other name it was refreshing and curiously yummy! Henry has defined his success by the head of foam and the lace designs tracing the glass as the foam disappears. We have hailed it drinkable, but as Henry chatters on about ingredients like wormwood, nutmeg, Irish moss and yucca, we all realize the brew will never resemble the super sweet root beers we have grown accustomed to.
Henry is always working on something new and exciting. Busy by day making glass, busy at night making root beer!
