About Spanish Moss, 447
In honor of our 20th Anniversary, we are bringing back select retired colors for a limited time!! Spanish Moss, 447 is now available.
Spanish Moss, 447 lives up to its name. This color fills out the green palette, providing you with a shady green, much like the moss hanging from the trees in the Bayou.
Working Tip: Work this color in a neutral flame. Garage at 975° F, Anneal at 1050° F.
Artist Description by Mike Shelbo:
"What you see is what you get, eh? I think you get much more than that. This color is wonderful to work. It is dense so even when drawn down to thin stringers it holds its color well. It works well in a premix or surface mix flame, and can handle a variation on flame settings.
I find that solid work with this color on the surface is my favorite, but blown work using coil potted Spanish Moss is also very nice. The color can be blown out very thin and still be true to the opacity that you see in the rod form. This deep opal green is a great contrast to Glass Alchemy Chartreuse Crayon and Alchemy Mint. The addition of bits and some spot heating will result in patches of deep army green and dark gray." - Mike Shelbo
