About Singular Passion, 380

Singular Passion is a self-striking borosilicate glass that develops a transparent golden yellow, reformulated to stay in the yellow range without pushing into deeper amber tones.

The lightest color in the Glass Alchemy Passion family, it offers a controlled, approachable strike—making it a strong entry point for lampworking artists new to striking colors. If you want even less saturation, try Glass Alchemy’s Halo for an even lighter yellow look. 

At $41.25/lb, Singular Passion delivers beautiful yellow strike effects at nearly half the cost of many comparable striking yellows.

Working Tip: Get this color white hot to erase the striking history. A variety of effects are achievable depending on how long you flame/kiln strike.

"Singular Passion will go from transparent to opalescent or milky in color, but stays in the golden and white-ish yellow range of color. The result is gorgeous. I tend to like the results of Singular Passion best after a sculpture, either hollow or solid, has been worked in the flame for an hour or longer.

Kiln striking at 1050 F or higher will shift the color when its is allowed to soak for a duration of time." - Mike Shelbo
