About Antidote, 4623

Antidote is a pastel green borosilicate glass, the first release in the Glass Alchemy Pastel line and a longtime favorite on the lampworking bench.

Originally developed as a stable alternative to a competitor color known for cracking, it remains highly workable and compatible across a wide range of applications.

Antidote performs especially well in blowouts, maintaining its soft pastel base as long as thin applications are not overworked.

For a darker version, try Double Dose.

Working Tip: Be sure not to get this color too hot when in a thin application as to not cook out the pastel base and turn it transparent.  Work in a neutral flame. Blow outs work best with the pastel colors.
